Tayyip Erdogan: The Most Influential Leader in Muslim Ummah
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the current president of Turkey, arrived in Pakistan on 13 February 2020 on a two-day trip. He was landed in Islamabad at the Nur Khan Airbase where Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan was present to greet him with a warm welcome to show a lot of respect and love for him as Tayyip Erdogan has emerged as the most popular Muslim leader in the world, according to Gallup International.

Tayyip Erdogan Historical Visit to Pakistan
As the world has known in this era, Pakistan is a peaceful country and famous for its hospitality thus a lot of foreigners like to visit Pakistan even the Royal British couple also took several times to visit in Pakistan and recommend Pakistan as the safest and the best place for tourism.
Tayyip Erdogan also expressed his loveable sentiments during his visit to Pakistan. During the start of his speech, he said:
“I thank God for giving me this opportunity. I am thankful to each of you individually for allowing me to address this joint session of Parliament. I would like to convey the greeting of 83 million brothers and sisters in Turkey,”
He further said that he never feels the strangeness in Pakistan thus he considers it as its second homeland in Asia. Turkey-Pakistan’s relationship is bound by heart and it will remain as, till the existence of the world.
He praised Hafeez Jalindhri and recited the National Anthem of Pakistan in his Mother’s tongue and also added Kashmir in the Anthem.

President Tayyip Erdogan Aimed to Visit Pakistan
Soon as Pakistan came into being in 1947, Turkey was among few countries that accepted its existence quickly and supported it to become a member of the United Nations. Both countries always recognize the importance of each other and vow to stand with unity in the world.
To provide strength to the Muslim community and to struggle against the Islamic opponent forces is always a central aim of both countries.
Moreover, they also aimed to strengthen bilateral strategic partnership and thus President Tayyip Erdogan visited Pakistan on the following ties:
- Endorses Pakistan in case of repression in the FATF (Financial Action Task Force)
- Pledges to always support Pakistan on Kashmir Issue
- To stand with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism
- Gives emphasize to the historical ties between the two countries
- To sign various developmental agreements to enhance the economy
During the speech in the Parliament, Tayyip Erdogan especially addressed the Kashmir issue and said that he can realize the grief of Pakistanis and condemned the injustice that is happening in Kashmir.
